Jacob Landry

Jacob is a Cajun from rural Southwest Louisiana. He went from a high school class of 32 to LSU where he majored in poultry science and political communication. While at LSU, Jacob spent a year in southern France as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar and won the Harry S. Truman Scholarship in 2005 for his commitment to public service. After LSU, he spent two years in Hawaii teaching elementary with Teach For America before recruiting for the organization for a year in the Pacific Northwest. Jacob moved to New Orleans in 2009 and spent another six years working in public education - leading the state's charter school office and serving as Chief Strategy Officer for Jefferson Parish Public Schools. Jacob earned an MBA from Tulane in 2012 and began planning Urban South Brewery, which he officially founded in 2016. Urban South is now three years old and the second largest brewery in Louisiana. Jacob has been married to Courtney for 12 years. They have three children and have served as foster parents for the past year.
