Jennifer Medbery founded Kickboard, an education company, and currently drives product strategy and thought leadership as Chief Product Officer. Jen is a software engineer who spent three years as a high school math teacher. Kickboard was developed out of Jen's first-hand experience in the classroom to solve an age-old problem: schools are not well-equipped to address kids' emotional well-being. After receiving her degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, Jen joined Teach For America and then became a Founding Teacher at one of New Orleans’ highest-performing open-enrollment high schools. A graduate of the Idea Village business accelerator, she has been featured as a Forbes 30 Under 30, Inc. 30 Under 30, and White House Champion of Change honoree. Jen proudly serves on the Board of Directors of Bricolage Academy and the Board of Directors of Bureau of Governmental Research. She has volunteered as a mentor, coach, and entrepreneur-in-residence for Idea Village, 4.0 Schools, Propeller, Village Capital, and Camelback Ventures.
